Julie Cofield has been our Director of Placement since April of 1987 when she joined American Nanny Company. Julie received her B.A. in Elementary Education from Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa and grew up in Illinois. Julie's teaching career spanned fourteen years in which time she taught nursery school through elementary age children. As the mother of two sons, Julie always recognized the need for excellent and experienced child care providers. Her commitment to nannies and families has been evident since her first day with the company. As placement director, Julie gets very involved with both nannies and families and loves the experience of making a wonderful match and staying in close touch throughout the duration of the placement. Julie also co-facilitates nanny orientation meetings and runs workshops on activities for preschoolers. Her love of and commitment to children, excellent interpersonal skills, and understanding of people's needs make Julie a superb professional director.
