American Nanny Company serves the ongoing professional and support needs of both nannies and families. ANC contacts each new nanny upon arrival and makes sure that quality networking begins. Each nanny receives an orientation packet, an updated phone and address directory of all current nannies, and is encouraged to call and receive calls from other ANC area nannies and to be in touch with our agency as the need arises. All new nannies are welcomed to the area by other ANC nannies who are already placed with their families. New nannies are greeted by those "old-timers" to become acquainted with the area and it's exciting places and people of interest.

ANC is concerned with the professional, social, and emotional support and networking of each nanny that we place. To that end, we hold an important, and required, orientation session for newly placed nannies. The focus of this workshop is the adjustment of the nanny to a new employer family, to a new family environment, and to maintaining an appropriate level of professionalism. A secondary benefit of these meetings is the invaluable generation of a peer friend and support group amongst the new nannies. Subsequent workshop topics attend to the professional and personal needs of the nanny and range from child development to avoiding burn out.

Of equal importance, we regularly schedule outings, social gatherings, and pot luck get togethers as well as full dinner party gatherings in celebration of major holidays. These are a lot of fun as well as a great way for your nanny to connect with many others and feel part of a larger social and professional group. We also publish an informative and chatty newsletter providing an important link to each and every nanny placed by our agency. It is of critical importance that our nannies feel comfortable about remaining in touch with us.
